Indian head massage is a powerful treatment which has the ability to both relax and re-energise.
The aim of Indian head massage is to release the stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders. It is based on the ayurvedic system of healing which has been practiced in India for over a thousand years.
What does it involve?
Indian head massage is performed seated in a comfortable chair. You can remain clothed or remove your top and and wrap yourself in a large modesty towel which is provided. The massage can be performed with or without oils depending on your preference. Our oils are of a very high quality containing pure and natural ingredients. Our unique routine has been developed with the aid of a therapist from Champneys. It starts with deep tissue massage of the neck and shoulders, moves on to a nurturing and balancing scalp massage and finishes with pressure point work on the face. The session will usually last 30 minutes.
